Cloud, Integration, AI & SaaS...Notes From The Oracle Partner Summit

HEXstream team members recently attended the Oracle Partner Summit in Austin, TX. Here we chat with our Siddartha Reddy Katukuri, HEXstream data integration engineer, and Bharath Moola, HEXstream data solutions engineer, to learn their takeaways from the event. Take a look...

Was there a theme you saw running through the Oracle Partner Summit?

Bharath: The theme I kept hearing was Oracle’s push for one integrated SaaS suite with AI embedded everywhere. No matter the session, it always came back to connected data and AI as the backbone of the future.

Siddartha: Simplifying enterprise adoption through SaaS-first solutions, seamless upgrades, and the Redwood user experience. Oracle is focused on lowering operational complexity and demonstrating business value. Cloud adoption is framed not just as an infrastructure initiative, but as a way to drive measurable outcomes and enable organizations to move faster.

What trend / opportunities / tool most aligned with our utilities work at HEXstream?

Bharath: For me, OUDI and AMI Publisher really stood out. Our strength is in data engineering and analytics, and Oracle making data pipelines central to their roadmap matches perfectly with what we do.

Siddartha: From OCI perspective, the most relevant trends were around Integrations (OIC) and Oracle Field Service Cloud (OFSC). With HEXstream’s expertise in data integration and OFSC, we can implement these technologies efficiently for constructions projects and utilities.

Did anything surprise you about Oracle's plans?

Bharath: The scope of their AI partnerships was surprising—Cohere, OpenAI and Google Gemini. It shows Oracle is leaning on best-in-class partners instead of trying to build everything themselves.

Siddartha: What surprised me was the extent to which OFSC and OIC are already being used in large construction projects, as well as with systems like CCS, C2M and CC&B. Additionally, how much of Generative AI has already been delivered. Features like AI-powered asset summaries, anomaly detection, and agentic billing exception-handling aren’t just on the roadmap...they’re already live.

Your thoughts on Oracle's integrated SaaS suite vision?

Bharath: I think it’s a smart direction. Utilities don’t want fragmented solutions anymore. Having one SaaS suite that spans customer, grid, asset and data is much easier to adopt and support.

Siddartha: I agree, but it’s also ambitious. Integration across so many domains is never easy. The opportunity for us is to guide clients through this complexity and help them adopt the right tools effectively.

Your thoughts on their utilities platform? And/or the One Data Intelligence platform?

Bharath: The utilities platform is strong, but OUDI feels like the real game-changer. One intelligence layer across Fusion and utilities apps is exactly what utilities have been waiting for.

Siddartha: Yes, OUDI stood out to me, too. With prebuilt pipelines, shared models, and embedded ML dashboards, it lowers the barrier for utilities to adopt AI and analytics at scale.

Does the DERMS / ADMS evolution detailed at this summit excite you?

Bharath: Absolutely. Real-time management of solar, EVs and storage is critical. Seeing Oracle evolve ADMS and DERMS together shows they’re serious about flexibility and resilience.

Siddartha: It excites me because it creates clear consulting opportunities. Utilities will need guidance on integration, migrations and scenario-planning to really benefit from these tools.

Big picture...what is your overall takeaway from the summit?

Bharath: My takeaway is that Oracle is all-in on AI and SaaS. They want to position themselves as the single platform for utilities moving forward.

Siddartha: My takeaway is that Oracle’s roadmap is strongly focus on cloud, integration and AI. They are clearly enabling organizations to simplify operations, adopt SaaS-first solutions, and leverage advanced tools like OFSC, OIC and Generative AI in real-world projects.
