Junior Account Executive—Utilities & Energy Sector

We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Junior Account Executive to join our growing team, focused on delivering advanced analytics and business solutions to clients in the Utilities and Energy sector. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to deepen their experience in enterprise software sales and consulting, particularly in the Energy & Water utilities domain.

You will play a key role in supporting business development activities, engaging with utility clients, and helping position our offerings—especially those that complement or enhance Oracle’s utility-focused solutions (e.g., Oracle Utilities Analytics, NMS, CCS, MDM, WACS, EWDI).

Qualifications Required:

· 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, consulting, or pre-sales roles in a technology or energy-related company.

· Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data-driven solutions.

· Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

Highly Desirable:

· Background in analytics, business intelligence, or data integration tools and platforms.

· Exposure to the utilities industry, especially electric utilities and joint action agencies.

· Experience working with or selling Oracle solutions specific to utilities (e.g., Oracle Utilities Analytics, MDM, CCS, NMS, WACS, EWDI).

· Prior consulting or client-facing experience with regulated utilities.

· Understanding of industry challenges such as grid modernization, outage management, or revenue assurance.

· While position is remote, ability to work in Chicago HQ office as needed (particularly during onboarding).

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities

· Support senior sales, marketing and consulting teams in identifying, developing, and closing opportunities with electric and energy utility clients.

· Assist with sales and marketing outreach efforts, discovery sessions, proposal development, and customer communications.

· Build foundational relationships with client stakeholders in operations, IT, and business functions. Research industry channels to uncover new-client opportunities.

· Coordinate product demonstrations, proof-of-concept activities, and solution workshops.

· Maintain accurate records in CRM and assist with sales reporting and pipeline development.

· Continuously learn and develop expertise in Oracle utility software solutions and broader analytics trends in the energy space.

· Prospecting skills and tools (LinkedIn Navigator, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
